            Division Manager - Fineweld Tube Division

            Chief Operating Officer of Welded Tube, which included;

            -Member of Brass Group Corporate Staff.

            -Responsibility for all administrative and manufacturing operations.

            -Customer interfacing.

            -Strategic planning (5 year plans).

            -Oversaw research and development of new products.

-Responsible for start-up of two Copper and Copper alloy Welded Tube production lines 

 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan  R.O.C.

            CHASE BRASS AND COPPER - A Division of British Petroleum 1981-1990

            Plant Manager of Welded Water Tube Division

            Responsible for the over-all operation of the Welded Tube Division which included;

            -Optimization of Tube manufacturing process.

            -Overseeing engineering changes.

            -Interfacing with Sales and Marketing.

            -Plant budget determination and capital planning.

            Manager of Process Development Dept.

            Managed Development Team responsible for design, construction and testing of high technology 

            metal fabrication equipment.

            -Developed high speed horizontal continuous caster.

            -Performed extensive engineering consulting relative to the Shelby, N.C. Plant.

            -Responsible for development of equipment, conceptual layout and cost estimate of a proposed 

             rod-mini mill facility.

            -Acted as engineering consultant and served on the review board for a steel continuous

              casting project.  Caster constructed at North Star Steel.

            -Recommended engineering and process related modifications required to prove feasibility 

             of high speed continuous casting and hot metal fabrication process.

            -Responsible for functional design of Corporate Headquarters and Technical R&D.Center.

 

            KENNECOTT COPPER CORP. 1964-1981

            Senior Project Engineer

            Provided supervisory and engineering skills needed for design of new plant facilities and

            equipment.

            -Shared prime engineering responsibility in design of prototype facility.

            -Co-invented new high technology hot rolling process for non-ferrous metals.

            -Coordinated installation and design of full scale continuous casting demonstration plant.

            -Co-inventor of high speed vertical continuous casting process.
