MACHINE REPAIR MACHINIST (Chevrolet Division)

Troubleshoot and repaired punch presses, welders, and robotic machinery. Performed ARC and MIG machine repair welding. Operated machine shop machinery including lathes, mills, and grinder. Selected to serve as Welding Department Supervisor.

1980 - 1994. YODER-KRASNY KAPLAN (Warrensville Hts., Ohio).

FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN (1981 - 1985)

Performed system installations of pipe mills and steel handling and roll forming equipment. Responsibilities included installing electrical and mechanical fixtures and components, performing laser alignments on machinery and equipment, troubleshooting and repairing systems and equipment, and providing customer training and support. Wrote operating manuals. Originally hired as a Machinist.

PROJECT MANAGER/FIELD SUPERVISOR (1985 - 1994)

Managed turn key contract plant installations. Supervised field service technicians and contractors. Coordinated efforts with plant managers and engineers. Received customer recognition letters for outstanding performance. Projects completed include:

* Completely automated aluminum overhead billet operations for Alcan Aluminum (Kentucky).

* Implemented major installation of 600 foot refrigeration tubing line (South Africa).

1994 - 1997. D & M ENGINEERING (Ashtabula, OH).

OWNER/MANAGER

Directed the start up and development of this tube and pipe industry consulting firm. Designed and installed industrial machinery. Served as Consultant to AEF of Georgia.. Projects completed include:

* Redesign and installation of overhead looping system for LTV Steel (Michigan).

* Start up and installation of first of its kind double wall tube mill utilizing standard pipe with stainless steel wrap (China).

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plant machinery and equipment including electrical, electro-mechanical, and hydraulic and pneumatic control systems. Responsibilities include machine parts design and fabrication, equipment design and installation, purchasing and inventory control, building layout, and preventative maintenance scheduling and documentation. Supervise and train pipefitters, electricians, machinists, and maintenance mechanics to insure conformance to standards. Projects included:

* Designed and installed steel slitting operation.

* Developed Rhino Tube Division: New facility layout and equipment installation.

* Plant layout and purchasing of equipment for 18 inch galvanizing operation.
