INDUSTRY LEADERS RECOGNIZED AT AWARDS BANQUET

The 31st annual TPA and FMA Industry Awards Banquet took place Nov. 13, 2001, at the Art Institute of Chicago. The event, held in conjunction with the FABTECH® International Exposition, celebrated the outstanding achievements of industry leaders.

W. B. "Bud" Graham
TPA Chairman's Award

2000-2001 TPA Chairman Len Steinmeyer personally selected this award recipient for his tremendous contributions to TPA.

W. B. "Bud" Graham, President of Welded Tube Pros LLC, has more than 25 years' experience in the metal process industry, with concentration in welded tube process and equipment development, cold roll forming equipment, tooling, and welding process technology. Bud has spoken at and chaired several TPA-sponsored conferences and authored numerous technical articles. He joined TPA's Tube and Pipe Producing Council in 1996, became council chair in 2000, and represents the council on TPA's board of directors. Bud was very instrumental in the development of Tube U's initial course offering, "Fundamentals of Tube Mill Operations." As content expert, Bud was the focal point for compiling information, diagrams, and photographs from industry colleagues. He employed his expertise to create presentation slides and a script that conveys the material clearly. The Tube U initiative is TPA's Internet-based approach to offering technical information to the tube and pipe industry. Without Bud's involvement, this exciting new training option would not have been possible.
